On the back of QDSA’s announcement that EOIs are now open for the 2024 QDSA Collaborative Research Grants (CRG) , researchers and industry partners are invited to attend a Briefing and Networking evening in Brisbane on Thursday 22 August 2024.
In the spirit of forging greater collaboration between researchers and industry across Queensland and the Northern Territory, QDSA is excited to introduce a new in-person event.
For the first time in CRG’s 3-year history that the Alliance will facilitate an opportunity for
researchers and industry partners to connect and team up during the EOI period.
What are the Collaborative Research Grants?
The CRG is QDSA’s signature competitive grants program designed to pull through emerging technology from university research to prototype stage.
The program drives collaboration between Queensland and Northern Territory member universities, industry partners and non-member universities across the nation to deliver sovereign capability that will serve our Defence personnel.
Project proposals should be aligned with the QDSA Research Priorities and Topics, which were drawn from the 2024 National Defence Strategy, 2024 Integrated Investment Program, and wide consultation with Defence stakeholders. They are as follows:
- Undersea Warfare
- Cyber
- Amphibious capable combined‑arms land system
- Theatre logistics
- Theatre command and control
More information about the research topics and CRG guidelines are available here, while the media announcement can be read here.
